Our land
Lies beside the sea
Lies across the country
It’s a beauty of its own
With our seas, so clear, our country, so dear
Out seas are like crystals shining in the suns gaze
Stretched far across the horizon
Waiting to be explored
Its stories untold
Its mysteries unsolved
Of those sunken bodies
Of war ships
Lying beneath the waters surface
Slowly rotting away, leaving only treasures
To show for their great adventures
Our country is like a desert
Desperate for water
Begging the skys above to end the suffering of their drought stricken soils
Only to be ignored
As the rains never come
The thirst only grows stronger
Farmers in need of water to grow crops
Wait desperately for their dreams to become a reality
Their survival slowly begins to fade
Leaving only glimpses of better times
The stench of carcasses
The sight of withered crops
Are the farmers sad reminders of mother nature’s cruel hand |
